Jersey came into my life 9 years ago! I had not had any children by that time, and I wanted to adopt a dog. I went to the local animal shelter and adopted Jersey. He instantly became my world! We became a little family where I poured my love and attention into!

Jersey was diagnosed with diabetes in November of this year! He had a DKA, which is diabetes ketosis, pancreatitis, Cushing’s disease and a urinary track infection, which ended him up in the hospital for three days and outpatient care for another five days. Having diabetes has completely changed both our lives we have had to adjust greatly to giving needles, checking sugar and new meals.

Jersey is my heart dog! He has been so important for my mom. My mom is 80 years old and has had two bouts of cancer and a subarachnoid hemorrhage and Jersey has been her best friend sidekick all through it all.
Without him by her side, I don’t think she would make it.

Jersey three day hospital stay cost$ 8200. His outpatient care cost another 2000. I Live alone and the expenses are really a financial burden. I really need help paying these bills.
