Jessie is a 10-year-old Boxer mix in Junction City, OR, who needs $900 for emergency surgery.

Jessie is a 10 year old 3/4 Boxer 1/4 red nose Pit mix. Her mother was pure boxer that we adopted from a friend who could not control and didn't have the patience to train and be with her We bred her with a Boxer/Pit male that a friend owned after we had lined up people to take the puppies. I was there to help deliver the puppies , i cut the umbilical cords on 6 puppies, cleaned them up and helped them into the world, one i had to get breathing. She was the only one that was almost completely pure brindle. We were going to keep two of the females but they got into a big fight before they were spayed so we had to give up one. One of the ladies that took a pup also wanted the mother after i had trained her. We also had a Double Dapple Dachshund named Jack that i had rescued and given to my wife as an emotional support dog. Jack and Jessie were partners in crime, whatever one got into the other was right there . We had to put Jack down 1 year ago at the age of 18 because he had Cushing's disease. Jessie's favorite thing to do is chase a tennis ball, she would chase the ball until she was exhausted then she would lay in the grass until it was time to play again. She also likes to take long walks in the countryside I am disabled and she gives me support just by being there. 2 weeks ago she got sick and we had to borrow money to have her seen at the low-cost clinic here in town. They took x-rays and did blood work. They told us that she has a mass on her stomach, fluid mixed with blood in her abdominal cavity along with a low red blood cell count and cannot get enough oxygen into her body, an iron deficiency and problems with her kidney. Every vet center here will not operate on her unless you can pay for it at the time of the operation. We live in a 26 foot travel trailer that i traded my Harley i had for 30 years for. We live in a low cost Mobile Home Park which is the only one that would take an older trailer.
