Jeter is a 8-year-old Miniature poodle in Niantic, CT, who needs $2,000 for Cervical spine surgery .

Jeter came into my life eight years ago. We bought him in February 2012. He has been with us ever since. We also have two cats and they are true siblings. Lol...They tease and chase each other. He has become best friends with my one and a half-year-old grandson and they were inseparable up until this injury slowed Jeter down.

Jeter is the king of our home. He is very spoiled. He’s best friends with my grandson who is one and a half years old. Where he goes ,Jeter goes. Jeter is catered to like a small child lol. He gets homemade organic food and treats, all the toys, supplies and love any dog could get. I can’t imagine life without him.

He has had a few ear infections here and there, but I never anticipated an injury such as this. This has taught me that I need to try to put some money away for an emergency such as this. He is suffering and it’s heartbreaking! I would give anything to see him playing again

Jeter has a protruding disc in his cervical spine that is pushing on nerves. It is making his back legs extremely weak and he has trouble lifting up his head. He is on 4 medications every 12 hours for pain and they are doing very little as he’s getting worse every day. This surgery will give him back his quality-of-life. Which has totally gone downhill in the past two months

He is very sneaky. He will go up and pat one of the cats and swipe their tail and then turn around and run away, they will play chase and hide and seek for hours. He’s very high strung. He barks a lot he’s always trying to playfully bite at your feet, but at the end of the day he’s such a little love bug. He loves to cuddle
