I adopted Bodine at 2.5 years from the dallas animal shelter, we have lived together with his sister daisy since then, he is almost 9. I am pregnant with my first kid and he was really excited to be big brother and play around and have fun with my baby. He is such a good brother to his canine sister, and is always there for her. He loved to run and play, fetch and tug of way are his favorite.

I took bodine to the dallas veterinary hospital of dallas, they told me he tore and ruptured his achilles up to the muscle of his thigh. he is still so young at heart and i hate to see him limping around and only using 3 legs. though he doesn’t act like he’s in pain, I know how much it must hurt. All I want is to see him play again, not in pain. Surgery is scary but seems like the best option.

He is the sweetest boy. Even at the vets they say how calm and happy he is just to be there. He sits and watches mommy with whatever she’s doing. He’s so happy just to be around you. His cuddles are the best. I waited forever for him to be able to have a yard to play in, and now that he’s about to have it, he cannot play as he should be able to :(. This dog means the world to me.

I am working a lot less now that I am 5 months pregnant, and it’ll only go downhill from here. I’m very worrisome that’s I cannot get him the surgery as it will be a struggle financially, especially as a first time expecting mom. I would do anything for him.
