Jett is a 14-year-old cat in Sanford, ME, who needs $850 for diabetes treatment.

Jett came into my life over 14 years ago after i lost 4 pets went to a local shelter to adopt an animal. I went to look and when i saw a cage that had at least 15 kittens in it i put my fingers in to see which might be more social. Well one smaller than others came right up to my fingers and bit right into my thumb. Jett from that moment on adopted me.

Jett had severe conjuctivitis when i adopted him. Took months of treatment to get better. Jett was raised with kyzmet another adopted cat. Jett is always sleeping on or near me follows me from room to room. Jett is a very social ,sweet and loving soul, brings joy and laughter every day. He talks to me and his love fills my heart and soul. Jett makes me fight day after day no matter what.

Jett and kyzmet grew up together. They are inseparable. Jett does kitty yoga and plays with his toy mice all the time. He will carry his mice in his mouth and cry for me and bring me his mice all the time. Jett sleeps on my head with his paws around to know im there and not going anywhere. He lays on the desk when im at the computer and has to hold my hand or sleep on my arm to be next to me.

A few months ago i noticed he was losing weight so i brought him in to the vet was terrified since was not long before we lost precious to diabetes and sheila from copd during covid. Was told he was in fact diabetic and needed to be on insulin. We changed over the diet for both kyzmt and jett to glucose royal canin wet and dry. Jett has lost over 4 pounds in the last month alone.

Since we lost sheila we have lost most of the house hold income and i have been fighting to keep our home. Dealing with bankruptcy from medical costs etc. Jett and kyzmet are all i have left to fight for, losing my kids would destroy me.
