About this campaign
My husband was raised with a dog since he was a kid and it really made him a better person. I wanted the same for our son. Knowing we were going to name him Jack we adopted this ferocious kitten from the shelter when I was 9 months pregnant and we named her Jillian. Jack and Jill have been friends since he was born, and they are amazing friends now that he is turning 2 with her.
Jillian loves playing with Jack, but she also really loves empty cardboard boxes. She is not a fan of catnip but does love batting around a milk cap. She loves to sleep in my bed and in Jack's room. She meows loudly when she feels it is time for me to feed her, which is most of the time. Her favorite food is wet, the flavor doesn't matter.
COVID-19 took me from working four days a week to one. We have a two-year-old son and we have just spent $400 to get her to the two other vets and get her pain medications. We just need to get her feeling better again.
Jillian is 100% healthy. She is just a baby in the lifetime of a cat. She hurt her back leg and the vet recommended that she needs an amputation. We have gone to two different vets and the least expensive vet with the best care needs $1200. We want her to live a full happy life, even if she only has three legs.
Jillian is a drama queen. She likes to be very dramatic if she hears you walking around in the morning without you feeding her first. I bought her a $200 luxury cat tower, spent a few hours assembling it just for her to decide she liked the box it came in better. The thing about her that makes me the happiest is how she is with my son.
