Jimmy K. Sprinkles was a medical foster I later adopted from the local shelter; officially my baby since 1/4/23. His name is meant to bring a smile. Jimmy, just came out while I was fostering; I ran thru a multitude of names after but Jimmy stuck. Sprinkles because it makes you smile. K is for Kismet as he helped me through the loss of my 16 y.o. dog 10/21/22 and he was found by shelter 10/24/22.

I adopted a sister for Jimmy, her name is Chosen. She is 4 old and more his than mine. While she hasn't really found her way with me yet, she adores Jimmy.
Its just the 3 of us. But when family and friends come over, Jimmy is right there to great them. He doesn't hide or run away. It's hard not to love him.
I melt into his cuddles, he is a pillar of calm and so good for my anxiety.

I could barely live without anxiety after the loss of my beloved dog, Lenny. I needed a furbuddy to get through it, thus attempted to foster. In no time at all, he brought me joy and calmness. He spent the first 2 weeks just bonding with me. He would rather cuddle than play. I was in love instantly. Now he is the coolest cat, calm and laid back. Talkative but not a complainer or beggar. Just Love

Jimmy is estimated to only be 11 mo old. He was found by the shelter with a left front leg fracture of radius and ulna. Also, level 1 heart murmur. Since the 1/4/23 adoption, we've been to the vet at least 3-4x: a respiratory cold, found the heart murmur is level 3 now. Chest x-rays & 2 vets say he needs more tests and possibly lifetime medications.

This is just the onset for Jimmy. Those tests & cardiologist review cost $861.35 and I have yet to find out if he'll need medications for life. I do not have an emergency fund for this expense. My rent is now over my budget. I rarely ask for help and don't know what's next.
