The beautiful boy you see here is Jinx. Jinx is 13 pounds of pure love, floof, and mischief. Jinx has been with me for 5 years. Adopted from a local shelter Jinx has been my best friend and my support through losses, sever chronic pain due to hyper mobility and fibromyalgia and major depression. He’s a delight to everyone he meets and never turns down a cuddle.

Jinx broke into a sealed medication bottle and ingested 36 16mg chewable tablets of apoquel, an allergy med for dogs that is toxic to cats. So far Jinx has been hospitalized for 36 hours and has acute kidney injury. Jinx is at Bay Beach Veterinary Hospital in Virginia Beach.

Jinx is one of the most talkative, cuddly, and loving cats I have ever met. Jinx is with me wherever I go. If I sit he’s in my lap, if I lay down he’s on my chest. He spends his days with his brother Xenon (male husk), and my husband and I and supervised anyone who comes in the house, even contractors renovating our kitchen. Jinx’s favorite activity is spending time with me in my garden on a leash

We have already paid over $5000 for his care over the last 36 hours and 48 more hours of ongoing hospitalization is expected. dialysis could be in his future if his kidneys can’t recover in that time. We desperately need help to continue his care please please help us.
