JJ is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Moore, , who needs $2,000 for Liver Shunt Surgery.

JJ was adopted in 2020 by my cousins and they needed a dogsitter while they worked, so I watched JJ everyday and he got so attached he would whine the entire time he was with them so it go to the point they just gave him to me. We have been best friends and inseparable ever since, JJ is my soul dog he has saved my life more ways than one and I would love to return the favor to him.

JJ has a liver shunt to which we have been trying medications and L/D diet which he did well with until November 2024 he stopped eating and was very lethargic, so we took him to the emergency vet and his blood sugar was 48 when he got there, they were pushing really hard to put him down and I almost fell into it but something was telling me to not and so I didn’t.

As I said before JJ has saved my life in more ways than one. I have severe depression and panic disorder which has lead to agoraphobia and JJ has been a big support for me. Especially with exposure therapy JJ has been the biggest help but just in everyday life playing with him, taking him on walks, laying under the blanket watching our favorite shows.

JJ is not only my best friend but he is my soul dog. He has been with me helping me through my mom’s cancer battle, breakups, agoraphobia recovery he has been my side for it all. I cannot imagine a life with him with me.
