About this campaign

Joey came from a Walmart parking lot in the middle of nowhere Idaho. Initially Joey’s name was going to be Chandler because we thought it sounded regal. However, upon meeting him, he was clearly a Joey, saying “how you doin’?” to everyone he met. I have had Joey since he was six months old for nearly six years. He is the happiest and most relentlessly positive spirit I have ever met.

Joey can be active, and loves to run, play ball, and swim in his lifejacket. At home he enjoys being tucked into his bed under one of his many blankets. He will eat anything you give him, and will steal anything dropped on the floor, sometimes we find broth vegetables with bites, taken out of them behind the couch. He is happy to be anywhere we are.

Joey makes happy grumbles when you rub his tummy. He is missing a front tooth and his little tongue pops out so he is often “blooping.” he has a bed in every room because he likes to be comfortable and around his humans at all times. Joey wags his tail at almost all times. Snuggles, pets, and snacks are his favorite and he loves watching his dad play softball.

He has an ACL tear in his back left leg. He just had surgery for his back right leg, which went extremely well. He is in significant pain at this time though we are grateful his pain is treatable with ACL repair surgery (TPLO).
Joey is being treated by Dr. Erin Corbin at Granite veterinary specialists. They have always been wonderful and treated Joey like their own.

With Joey’s Dad in college and working full time and his Mom just having opened a private therapy practice, and paying for Joey’s first successful surgery, money is tight. Though he is in significant pain, his tail never stops wagging and he is relentlessly positive.
