Jojo was 6 years old when her previous owner left her. I heard her previous living situation was really bad and she was neglected a lot. I offered to foster her for a month and ended up keeping her because she's such a sweet soul and we've bonded so much.

Jojo had pancreatitis and the vet wasn't sure what caused it. She was critically ill and the illness affected her kidney. The doctor said if we had brought her in a day later she wouldn't have made it. She stayed at the vet for a week and had multiple blood tests. Fortunately, she just came home from the vet and is now recovering.

Jojo is curious, adventurous, loving, and kinda a stoic. Her favorite activity is going on our daily walk and claws at the door when it's time to go out. Our best memories are us sitting on a porch people watching and her climbing a tree. She never breaks things, scratches, bites or begs for food, and stops eating when she's full. She loves to snuggle and eats when I eat. She's happy all the time.

The bill is 6000$. I'm a grad student, make very little money. I get paid 1800$ for 10 months a year, and I have to pay taxes and 3000$ of mandatory school insurance. I am not allowed to work outside of school. I owe my friend the vet bill and I really need to pay him back.
