Joker is a 2-year-old tabby cat in Colchester, CT, who needs $850 for a urinary blockage.

Me and my two children have had Joker for a little over two years. We got him for free from someone that was just going to put him and his sister out on the street. I took both cats and I let my daughter named them. She ended up naming them Harley and Joker for Harley Quinn and Joker from the movie and we have loved them ever since. They are everything and we are going to do everything we need to do to save Joker and hopefully people are willing to help us save him.

Joker is the most lovable cat I've ever met. He mostly either sleeps on my chest at night or he will sleep at my feet as his bed is my bed. He is a cuddle bug. He is very calm, he's not a crazy cat. He just kind of likes to relax and be loved and give love. Joker likes to run around with his sister Harley. Sometimes she gets a little agitated with him but at that point he will just kind of leave her alone and come up and lay with me or the kids.

In the past year, I have lost my job. We've been on a fixed income. I am trying to find work now but even if I found a job tomorrow that wouldn't help me pay Joker's bill. I'm a single mom and I'm doing what I can to keep my family afloat. I unfortunately didn't have any emergency funds for a situation like this with the animals and now I really wish that I had put something away because now it's a struggle.

So Joker has had everything he's ever needed in the past. He's up all up to date on his shots, he's been fixed, everything he's needed has been done. But unfortunately being a single mom and out of work, I don't have the funds for this. It was very unexpected. The only thing that he's ever really had go wrong was he has a gland problem where sometimes those have to be expressed but other than that this is the worst thing that's ever happened with him. He has a urinary blockage. He is being seen at the Colchester Veterinary Hospital and they're taking really good care of him. Hopefully he'll be coming home soon and hopefully I can get help affording the bill because they will not release him to me until the bill is paid.

Joker likes to give kisses he will literally put his face up against your mouth like he is giving you a kiss. He won't lick you, it's just like it's like hey I love you let me give you a kiss! He can make a bad day into a good day or a good day into a great day. He's the best cat. Joker is an extremely friendly cat. He can just turn anybody's day around and make anybody feel loved. He is a truly amazing.
