About this campaign

Street rescue. Very cold, drizzle night this past Halloween. She came to me. Jordon followed me home and bumped my leg and started to curl around my ankle. Purring very loudly. She was so gentle, I picked her up, held her for a bit, put her down and she has never left my side since. It was going to freeze I could not bear the thought of her being in that kind of weather. She melted my heart,

My son who is autistic took to her immediately. His interaction with her is always a joy to watch. First night we had her in the house she slept in his bed. First thing he said when he got up the next morning was she slept with him all night struggled next to him and purring. Can we keep her? I said maybe but it was already a yes in my mind. Expense cost my mind and I am out of work. Difficult..

COVID-19 has taken us to task. I lost my job, wife is teacher's aid that was furloughed for six months with school closers and we all got sick. We have burned through what little savings to pay the bills. Unemployment ran out, government assistance is slow to help/rejected.

My issue is I first noticed worms around her back side. Did some research and decide to try to deworming her with OTC medications hoping it was not heartworms but just some other worms that can be easily treated. Again, no work, limited funds but I was going to do what I could with limit funds because we can not afford a vet visit.

She is a kitty that jumps all over the place. Hence the name Jordan after Michael Jordon, Air Jordon, and the way she leaps across the room at play. She follows that boy everywhere. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom. Door shut, no problem. She reaches underneath and if it is not secure, boom door is open. She has become the center of attention for that boy.
