About this campaign
I was walking at the park three weeks ago when I felt something pulling my shoelaces. I look down and see the smallest kitten I’ve ever seen, next to a cardboard box. I picked her up, took her to my house, and did all the research I could. I bottle fed her and got her a vet appointment. After a few days she was playful and active. She has all the toys and space any kitty would ever need.
Josephine loves to sit on my shoulders and watch tv with me. She loves to play and chase around imaginary mice. She will climb all the way up your pant leg and rest on your shoulder. She is little but very happy to be alive.
Josephine loves to be right by my side. Being allergic to cats and never having one growing up I never thought the universe would put a kitten in my life. I come home from work everyday during my lunch break to check in on her feed her and pet her.
Josephine wasn’t going to the bathroom, so after a check up I found out she is severely anemic and has an enlarged liver. Treatment is a blood transfusion just to start with along with hospitalization. Dr Graves at VEG in shrewsbury was her vet this morning and helped her as much as she could.
I am a middle school teacher and I don’t have the means for a $2100 hospitalization and blood transfusion for my 6 week old cat. I am distraught and have been in tears most of the day (called out of work) just holding Josephine. I feel immense guilt.
