We have a beautiful update to share on our TNVR campaign! Thanks to everyone who supported Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Society, five community cats received the care they so desperately needed. 🐾
Three females were spayed and two males were neutered, helping prevent countless unwanted litters and breaking the cycle of suffering for future generations of street cats. But these cats received so much more than sterilization.
Three received dental treatment to address painful dental disease. All five were vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas and parasites. After recovering safely from their procedures, they were returned to their territories healthier and better protected than when they arrived.
For some of these cats, this was the first veterinary care they had ever received. That is the power of TNVR. One surgery doesn't just change one cat's life. Preventing a litter today means fewer kittens born into hunger, illness and danger tomorrow. And providing medical care means the cats already living on the streets have a better chance at healthier, more comfortable lives.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make this possible. Your support gave five cats a second chance—and helped prevent countless more from being born into suffering.
There will always be more cats waiting for help, and Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Society will continue working to reach them. Thank you for standing with us and helping us create change one cat, one colony and one community at a time. ❤️🐾
About this campaign
For thousands of stray cats in Egypt, life is an endless cycle of hunger, illness, and constant reproduction. Every unspayed female can give birth to multiple litters each year, and without intervention, the stray population continues to grow—bringing more kittens into lives of hardship and suffering.
At Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Society, we believe the most compassionate way to break this cycle is through Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Return (TNVR). Every cat we sterilize prevents countless future litters while improving the health and well-being of the cats already struggling to survive on the streets.
This week our team successfully trapped and treated five community cats as part of our ongoing TNR efforts.
During this campaign:
\- 🐾 Three female cats were spayed. - 🐾 Two male cats were neutered. - 🦷 Three cats received much-needed dental treatment to relieve painful dental disease. - 💉 All five cats were vaccinated to protect them against preventable illnesses. - 🪱 Every cat received deworming medication and flea treatment before being safely returned to their territory.
For many of these cats, this was the first time they had ever received veterinary care. In addition to preventing future litters, they are now healthier, more comfortable, and protected from parasites and infectious diseases that are so common among street cats.
TNVR doesn't just save individual lives—it transforms entire communities. Every cat we sterilize means fewer kittens born into dangerous conditions, fewer animals competing for limited resources, and healthier colonies that can live out their lives without continuing the cycle of overpopulation.
Your donation will help cover the costs of spay and neuter surgeries, dental procedures, vaccinations, parasite prevention, and post-operative care for these five deserving cats.
Together, we can create lasting change—one cat, one colony, and one community at a time. Thank you for helping Paws & Claws Animal Welfare Society give Egypt's street cats a healthier, safer future.
