About this campaign
Let's just say it wasn't love at first sight for Junior when he met Elizabeth L.
"I found Junior in the middle of a street," Elizabeth tells Waggle. "After about 15 minutes of growling at me while I kneeled in the street (trying to catch him), he finally walked up my knees into my arms."
And soon, Junior was smitten with his rescuer Elizabeth, who decided he was her new best friend. "Junior has been attached to me ever since," Elizabeth says.
She brought Junior to the vet and learned the poor dog was in terrible shape. He was infested with fleas, had paint in his ear, and was diagnosed with IVDD or intervertebral disc disease.
Junior has extreme episodes of back pain and spasms. These episodes can last up to 16 hours. He currently takes medication daily for pain and inflammation as well as anxiety.
Elizabeth can't pick Junior up due to the pain it causes him. He uses a doggie ramp to get up and down the bed. Any wrong landing from heights can leave him paralyzed.
Now Junior needs urgent dental surgery to have two teeth removed. After all the money Elizabeth has spent trying to fix up Junior, she needs help getting him this critical procedure.
"I have been unemployed since being laid off after eight years as a school employee in March due to medical restrictions and have hospital bills from an emergency surgery that I had in May of this year," Elizabeth says.
Please give so Junior can get the dental surgery he needs!
