About this campaign

Junior has been with us since he was a puppy...that's why his nickname is actually "puppy." He is a very sweet boy who is always happy and wagging his tale. We actually own his father who we've had for about 10 years and one day his father got loose and found our neighbor's female dog....And there came Junior:) an exact replica of his father. So it's very special to us to have both father and son.

I actually rescue cats so we have many many many cats in the house, and there are new ones coming in all the time. But Junior is so welcoming and always greets them while wagging his tail! Junior also enjoys going on frequent walks during the day. However, the walks are becoming harder due to his cataracts progressively getting worse.

Covid has made it very difficult to afford medical care.My family is low income and my parents are disabled. Since we are constantly rescuing animals, money is very tight and we can't afford this surgery. It's also expensive to maintain his special diet and medications.

Junior was diagnosed with Diabetes last year. So he now has to have insulin 2x day and eat Hills diabetic food. One of the side effects of Diabetes is getting cataracts, and unfortunately he has a bad case of it. His eyes now have a blue haze to them and he has really blurry vision which is only going to get worse. Medication wont help him, he needs to have cataract surgery.

Junior loves to go on walks with his father around our neighborhood. But he mainly enjoys laying on the couch and having our cats rub against him and play with him. He is a good friend to everyone in the house. One quirky thing Junior does is when an ambulance or fire truck goes by with the sirens on, Junior loves to howl like a wolf and join in on the loud noise!
