About this campaign
Junior is a senior Papillon/Chihuahua mix who has been through a lot with Elizabeth—and thanks to past support, he’s gotten important care when he’s needed it most. Now Junior is down to his last four teeth, and they’re in terrible shape. Elizabeth has noticed constant lip-licking, an inflamed-looking muzzle, and even a sneezing fit, all classic signs of a painful mouth and infection.
Junior needs a dental cleaning with extractions and this time, there’s an added complication. Junior now has kidney disease, so he needs a full blood panel before anesthesia to make sure the procedure is as safe as possible. That extra testing is necessary, but it also drives up the cost. Junior is also on ongoing medications that total about $200 per month.
Junior’s story has always been one of resilience. Elizabeth didn’t go looking for him—she found him as a stray and brought him home, and he’s been her dog for over a decade. Supporters have helped him before when he needed urgent care, and those fundraisers made a real difference in his comfort and quality of life.
Now Elizabeth’s finances are under even more pressure. She and her brother have lived together for 13 years, but he is moving to Texas. With everything tightening at once, she can’t absorb another large vet bill on top of Junior’s monthly medication costs.
