Juno is a 5-year-old Chihuahua Shih Tzu Mix in Graham, WA, who needs $2,000 for Immune-Mediated Thrombocytopenia with Blood Transfusions.

Hey guys. Our sweet girl Juno, aka Juni, Juju, Bug, who we’ve had since she was a tiny baby, is sick. As you may know, we don’t have children, but our pups ARE our babies. We would go to the ends of the earth for each of them. Juno is such a big snuggle bug and very much a ‘velcro’ lap dog. She absolutely adores her parents, and hates being away from them.

Juno is such a sweet and loving babygirl, who is beloved by everyone she meets, and especially her family. Her big brother is her bestest fur friend, and he loves his baby sister so very much.. She loves to chase after her favorite toys and hide them in her little ‘tent’, away from her brother and sister.

In January, we took Juno to the vet for one of her bi-annual vet exams, in which her labs and health were impeccable, minus a touch of arthritis in her knees. Her veterinarian prescribed Rimadyl to help with inflammation. After a trip to the groomers we noticed severe bruising all over her body and the start of her being super lethargic and just not her usual fun loving self.

Wednesday we took her to the emergency vet where she was diagnosed with ITP or immune-mediated thrombocytopenia, and was given steroids to help improve her condition. Friday at her regular vet her blood levels were even lower and we were given an increase in meds. Later that night Juno collapsed and was admitted to the ER where she is receiving blood transfusions and a multitude of medications.

We have maxed out our spending for the initial payment of $5,000. We were informed today that Juno has already required two transfusions. We anticipate she has a long road to recovery but will do whatever it takes to have our baby home and healthy again. We love her so much.
