About this campaign
I inherited Juno, an eleven-year-old dog, from my brother three years ago. I also have Rolo, a three-year-old German Shepherd Coonhound mix; Callie, an eleven-year-old pit bull rescue; and Princess, a cat also inherited from my brother. All my pets get along great. They have access to my yard and my neighbor's yard, which together provide about an acre of space for them to run and play.
I took Juno to the Coyne Veterinarian Hospital in Crown Point, Indiana today, where x-rays revealed a massive tumor in her stomach. Dr. Matthew Szalay is unsure if it's one large tumor or several small ones, and he won't know until surgery. He advised that surgery must be done within a week due to the tumor(s) pressing on her organs, causing bladder, spleen, and eating issues.
Rolo and Callie are Juno's best friends. However, now that Juno is slowing down, she is happy that Callie takes over wrestling with Rolo so she can relax in peace! She is a couch potato but always loves to go on walks. She is super friendly and laid back with everyone she meets. I use to be afraid of pit bulls until I met her. She is a sweetheart.
Unfortunately, Juno needs urgent surgery, and I do not have the necessary funds to cover it. She is not just an animal but a cherished member of my family. Your support in this critical moment would not only help save her life but also bring immense relief and joy to mine.
