Jupiter is a 3-year-old German Shepherd/Pit Mix in Gig Harbor, WA, who needs $2,000 for TPLO.

Jupiter came into my life in October of 2019, he was about 8 weeks and I got him through working at the Veterinary Hospital I was working for in Shreveport Louisiana. We now live in Gig Harbor Washington where Jupiter and his doggy sister Nova get to go for hikes, play in the snow and hangout with the other pups in the neighborhood! Jupiter also loves car rides to Oregon :)

Jupiter is a 95 pound dog, so he has the biggest kennel he can! He sleeps in mine and my boyfriends room and loves to wake up in the middle of the night to come snuggle until its time for everyone to get up. Jupiter has a 4 year old doggy sister Nova whom he plays with nonstop. They are bestfriends. We love to go for walks though our neighborhood and Jupiter loves looking for all the bunnies!

On a daily basis Jupiter does something hilarious. He talks a lot and is also very handsy so when he wants something he paws at you until you get it. He also has so much extra skin on his body so when he lays down he gets a ridiculous amount of neck roles, its so cute. Every night, we snuggle before bed and watch a Disney movie, it cracks me up because he watches the tv.

Jupiter went on a run with my boyfriend ( like usual) and later that evening after a nap, he began to limp on his right hind leg. After working in vet med for 3 years, I knew exactly what had happened. After taking him to our primary vet, she told us he has a partially torn CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) and will need surgery, which can cost up to $6000.

I'm currently in school and the job I have plus rent and other bills is making my financial situation a bit tight. This is the first time he has every injured himself and I'm sad I no longer work in the Veterinary field because I did have some benefits .
