About this campaign
This is Jupiter but we call him “Mini Muffin,” he was named after our cat Zeus who passed away last year. Jupiter was pretty integral to dealing with the loss of Zeus. He is just over 2 years old, sweet as can be, and loved by all his veterinary providers. He gives head boops to everyone.
3 months ago Jupiter had a urinary blockage. The vet providers were able to break through it with a catheter. After antibiotics, Jupiter seemed to get better. Over the past few days, he more and more frequently used the litter box but he could only produce drops of urine. The blockage now is too much for a catheter. To both remedy and prevent further occurrence he has to transition to female.
Zeus was our best friend for 8 years before suffering similar urinary issues. The first reason I fell in love with Jupiter is because he looked just like Zeus. After Zeus’ passing, Jupiter was the furry friend we needed to get through that immense grief.
We spent all of our savings on his previous medical bill on top of Zeus’ medical bills. We have been given the options to come up with $3,500 for the emergency surgery or to euthanize him at only 2 years old where the prognosis is complete recovery and no further issues.
