We bought Jutta as a puppy, she is now 3 years old. She loves to be with our family and other dogs, often feeling like she needs to give oversight to every situation in the house or on the property. She loves to roam our property and enjoys her daily visits from our mail lady, who gives her treats.

Jutta's hips were certified by the breeder, unfortunately her first hip was replaced before she was 1. The breeder was shocked and worked with us to help find a good vet. We were told by the surgeon that there was a good chance that her second hip would need to be replaced. Now is the time. She is visibly in pain and we know it is the right thing for her given the years of life she has left.

Jutta loves every member of our family. She wants to be in the middle of everything all the time. I often tell people that she gives the best hugs of any dog I have known. Her ball is her joy and she will endlessly chase it. A favorite part of the day is coming hime from work, Jutta is the best welcoming party a person can have. She smothers us with attention and affection all day.

The cost of a hip replacement is quite high. We have already endured the first hip surgery but know now is the time for the next one. Her pain is too much and it is hard to witness every day. She is unable to go on walks or run, her life is very limited.
