K.C. is a 10-year-old Russian Blue cat in San Jose, CA, who needs $1,201 for urgent dental extractions.

K.C. was rescued as a starving kitten off the street by a friend of ours years ago. One day, about 4 years ago, our friend had to go away and asked us to look after K.C. and 3 other cats he had at the time. We already had a couple of cats (also rescues) and we were feeding a feral family we had TNR-ed (trap-neuter-release) at the property we were renting at the time. When our friend returned, he never took his cats back. Well, we loved K.C. and his adopted siblings so much, we stayed on parenting them all. Over the years, we lost his siblings...two (Spot and Roo) passed away and one (Wheeze) ran away because she didn't get along with K.C. We tried to get her to stay when she visited us, but she took off again. K.C. has always been very close to me and my partner. He likes to pick on his newer, younger sister, Tuxie, but she gets back at him by playing chase when he least expects it late at night.
