Kai is a 4 year old Siberian Husky in Cordova , TN, who needs $2,000 for Surgery with Scans for Acathomatous Ameloblastoma.

I rescued Kai from a shelter on 8-1-2021. He was about 1 1/2 years old. We had an instant connection at first sight. He was named by my mom and myself. Kai loves other dogs, so I rescued Jolene( 5 yrs old) a few months later. A few months after that I foster failed Leo (1 1/2 yrs). We are one big happy family and my fur babies are thriving. They make my life full and complete.

During a routine dental a mass was found onKai's jaw bone near some teeth. The mass came back as Acanthomatous Ameloblastoma. This type of cancer grows in the mouth. The good news is that this cancer does not metastasize. It is very treatable and Kai's prognosis is very good. The treatment plan is to shave the bone for clean margins and pull some teeth. MSU will do the scans and surgery.

Kai came into my life during a time when I was struggling in many areas. His gentle loving personality brought me through some tough times and gave me hope. Ia am in a much better place because of him. He is a very special dog. He loves all people and animals. Everybody that meets him is amazed at his sweetness. He loves his sock monkey and is always willing to share it with his brother and sister

I'm a vet tech. I love what I do, but the money is not there. I live on my own and in this economy, I live pay check to pay check. To complicate matters, I will be cutting back my work hours to attend nursing school. Kai is my best friend and support system. Please help
