Kaila has been in my life for almost 10 years. We got her on mother's day when we saw her at the shelter and immediately fell in love. She's the sweetest, silliest, and strangest cat I've ever met, and I love her more than words can describe. We've been through so much together; she's my ESA, I grew up with her, and we're currently at college.

Unfortunately, Kaila has been having some dental issues. It's always been a problem, but recently it has progressed very fast. She has tooth resorption, advanced gingivitis and dental disease, and recently she lost one of her canine teeth. We've tried to get the money to get her the care she needs, but it doesn't seem like it's possible, and I feel cruel making her wait any longer. She's in pain.

She's my soul pet. We have a special bond that cannot be replicated, and it's incredibly difficult to watch her in pain like this. She's usually an extremely active and lively cat, but these past few weeks she's been more lethargic and hiding under blankets (more than usual, she loves to bury but it's different). She's also started clawing at her face after meals and it breaks my heart.

I'm currently in college. I receive financial aid, but due to funding it's not enough and I'm unsure if I'll be able to attend. My family has had many sudden medical bills, as well as house repairs. Every time it seems like we're in a better place, something else happens.
