Kaiser is a 5-year-old German Shepherd in Fredericksburg , VA, who needs $1,913 for Cardiovascular treatment.

We purchased Kaiser at a local pet store. Soon after we brought him home, he was taken to the emergency vet and diagnosed with pneumonia at not even 13 weeks old. He was hospitalized on and off for about 2-3 weeks. Following this he has no health issues up until recently. He has lived with myself and my husband his entire life. He used to come to work with me when I was a nanny also.

He is the sweetest boy. There isn’t a single person who has met him, that doesn’t fall in love with his gentle nature. He is very opinionated, isn’t a fan is balloons, loves swimming and playing in the snow. He is the best big brother to our younger make GSN, Enzo. The two are VERY attached. Kaiser loves to snuggle with you, give sweet kisses and absolutely love fishy treats.

We have no emergency fund. We are a young married couple, I’m a student studying psychology and my husband is a delivery driver. Our boys mean the world to us. Thought we know we won’t have Kaisers entire life-expectancy, we want to ensure that the time we do have is special

Kaiser is being treated currently by Bluepearl vet in Richmond VA and he has received overnight treatment as well as emergency treatment. He was diagnosed with right-sided heart failure, he is waiting to be seen by a cardiologist but at only 5 years old, we are praying for a miracle. They have preformed a pericardiocentesis where they were able to drain 1200ml of fluid from his abdomen & heart,

He loves looking outside the window and going for car rides holding his head out the entire way. Chasing bunnies, or anything really. He is an exceptional guard dog. Loves his people and little brother, has the biggest heart of any animal. He will swim until he can’t swim anymore, even in freezing water. He has the kindest eyes, it’s hard not to feel his love whenever he looks up at you.
