Kali is a 5-year-old Mixed Beagle in East Rutherford, NJ, who needs $2,000 for MRI and Surgery.

I decided to rescue her from a friend who was unable to provide for her the life she deserved. She now lives with my parents, brother and I next to a park where she runs around and tries to chase after the birds even after they fly away. She is a happy healthy dog and she has changed my family's life forever as our first dog ever.

My parents never wanted a dog because they were afraid all the responsibility would get put on their plate. Over the years Kali has won them over with her charm and puppy eyes and now I fond my dad napping on the couch with her and talking to her in the same baby voice he used to talk in when me and my brother were babies.

Kali has many personalities and everything reminds me of her because of how much she brings into my life. Kali walks with a cute skip when she is really happy to go on her daily walks and when my mom talks to her she listens to attentively. It almost feels like she understands everything we say to her when she follows our every word and every noise with her head movements.

My dogs name is Kali. Last night Kali lost all motion in her two hind legs due to a spinal cord injury. It was very unexpected, she was a happy healthy dog just two days ago at only 5 years old and from one day to the next her life and my life changed forever. We are at Eclipse Specialty Emergency Care awaiting for her surgery.

My dog is my world and the one thing in this world that makes me ahppy despite everything that goes on in my life or the life around me. I cannot picture a life without her happy and healthy but as a recent medical student graduate I am desperate need of financial assistance
