Kandi is a 7 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Athol, MA, who needs $5,600 for TPLO Surgery.

Kandi came to us from a Rescue down south. Both of our old dogs passed and I really needed another companion. I saw Kandi's picture and fell in love.

Kandi's favorite thing is to run out back with her brother to chase chipmonks. She also loved playing with our grandchildren. On one occasion she came in limping and after the vet visit we found out she tore her CCL. We tried everything to make her comfortable but now she can't walk, doesn't eat much and whines due to pain. Her specialist is ProFormance Canine in Harvard, Ma.

Kandi is such a love bug. She loves when the children come to visit and looks forward to everyone playing in the yard. Her brother, Mookie, is also a rescue and they love to run around the backyard. Kandi sleeps with us, and just loves her daddy. She lives with Mookie, and our two cats who she grew up with. My husband and I both cried when we discovered how much it's going to cost for her surgery.

I will be taking months off from work to care for her after surgery. We are still trying to pay for my husbands shoulder surgery and money is so tight right now. I cancelled my cateract surgery and also a knee replacement so we could get Kandi better. She is our family
