Kashmere Westbrook is a 6-year-old Lab mix in Cincinnati, OH, who needs $2,000 for cruciate ligament repair.

I found Kashmere from an owner on Facebook. As soon as I went to the woman's home, Kashmere came right to my daughter and was the runt of the bunch. We interacted with other dogs but Ms. Kashmere sat next to my daughter's feet and didn't move and at that point she was our girl. We took her shopping and bought her clothes, leashes, and all the accessories she needed.

Kashmere is so kind, sweet, cute, stubborn, and loving all at the same time. She is an older dog that doesn't realize her weight or strength so she runs and plays hard. She loves to chase and catch tennis balls. Kashmere's favorite thing to do is go to the dog park a few times a week even in the winter time.

At this time I'm not working due to the fact I just recently had my rotator cuff repaired and the tip of my collar bone removed. I'm still in therapy rehab so therefore my income is limited and her surgery is $3,500 I don't have.

Kashmere got injured at the dog park. She was running, jumping, wrestling, and playing with all the dogs there and somehow during her playing she got hurt and began limping. We took her to Noah's Ark Animal Hospital and Dr. Richard Berlinski said she has a torn ACL and it must be surgically repaired ASAP.

Kashmere is a perfect big sister to our new family addition named Kassidy. Kashmere watches over Kassidy, plays with her, guides her steps outside, and even attempts to clean her. It's the cutest thing you could ever see. Kashmere is the perfect big sister. Kashmere is also a music fan. If you tap your feet and turn on music she will turn on her back and do her fancy dance. It's the funniest thing.
