Kati is a 10 year old Wirehaired Pointing Griffon in Tolleson, AZ, who needs $428 for Test for Cushings Disease.

One day friend showed up at my door with this black and white dog she said I found her tied to a lamp post with a sign that said cannot take care of. I just could not leave her there she was so scared. She also said I cannot take her can you keep her for now until we find her a home ? I said of course. This dog and I spent the day together and I fell in love. I named her Kati and she was staying.

That was 10 yeads ago. Recently I started noticing some changes. She had an increase in her appetite, she was gaining weight, licking her paws and started panting a lot. So I took her to our ver. Dreaming summit animal hospital. There we found out she could have cushings decease. These symptoms are caused by either the pituitary or the adrenal gland releasing to much of the hormone cortisol.

Kati has always been a very happy girl. she us very smart and very friendly but also very protective if she thinks someone is bothering me. I love her so much and have done my best to take good care of her. She does not deserve to have this desease she is so uncomfortable but endures it like a champ. I despertly need to have the specifgic test for that deseaase done so we can start treatment.

I am sight impaired and on social security with the prices of things lately we are just getting by. I could not afford the test for cushings.. I need an accurate diagnosis so i can start treatment as soon as possible so I can give my baby some relief. I love her so much.
