Katie Bug is a 13 year old American Shorthair in Akron, NY, who needs $1,500 for Diagnostics to See if it is Cancer.

This is my 2nd campaign for Katie Bug. She came into my life as a sweet, tiny kitten who had such a zest for life! From her kitten pic, you can see a rash on her face. Turns out she is allergic to canned cat food! She is 13 years old now and is suffering from her lower jaw being inflamed. I raised enough money to take her to a new vet for a 2nd opinion.

About 2 1/2 months ago, I was giving the cats their treats when Katie Bug started crying and rubbing her face. I thought perhaps she was choking, so I rubbed her throat. Ever since then she has stopped eating and gone from 13 lbs to 3 or 4 lbs. The first vet gave her a shot and sent us home with 3 pain pills and some liquid meds. They have not helped.

Katie Bug has always been my little shadow. Now, she either hides in the spare bedroom closet or in my bed, under the covers. I always called her my office assistant, but now she only comes in when she's ready to try to eat. She tries to eat treats, but doesn't do so well. I cut them up into small pieces, but she still has issues. Her poor tongue hangs out and she drools.

I am almost 73 years old. I am on Social Security, and I do not have pet insurance. I raised $500 during my first campaign, and I feel to save Katie Bug, I will need much more.
