We picked up Kato when he was 4 weeks old. His mother had become sick of her puppies and was beginning to neglect them. Me and my family drove 5 hours to pick up this little baby and we have loved him ever since. He has a beautiful backyard that he gets all to himself. This is where he buries his favorite possessions. He has all the toys and bones he could dream of all he needs is a new hip.

Kato is our fourth child. He has his 12 year old boy who he loves to sit next to and lick in the face, his Boxer and his cat and now a new baby boy to enjoy. His dad and him have an amazing relationship they wrestle and talk to eat each other. Mom takes him on walks and to the dog park and hiking all around Portland.

The surgery is so expensive close to $10,000. My partner lost his job due to Covid and we just had our newborn in April. I was also just laid off as my job has decided I am too expensive to keep on the books. I have been saving every penny I can and collecting cans to help.

Kato broken his femoral head right at the growth plate when he was 6 months old. He had surgery to repair it but unfortunately the femoral head never grew into the socket right. Now he needs a full hip replacement and possibly a knee surgery as well. He seems to do fine most days unless he wants to really play then he ends up limping and sore. He is only 2 years old it is terrible.

Kato has a tendency to rip all of his toys up but for some reason he has kept his Monkey stuffed animal together and safe. He buries him around the yard and at some points will bring him out and show it to you. But don't try to take him away because kato will talk to you with his whooping and take the money back to a safe and disclosed place.
