Kato is a 8 Year Old American Pit Bull Terrier in Windsor, VT, Who Needs $1,500 for Lipoma Removal.

Kato is our rescue dog. We got him about a year and a half ago. He was skinny, scarred up and had a cyst on his belly. Since having him he has gained weight with a healthy, consistent diet, hes up to date on his vaccines, discovered his cyst wasn't cancerous and is just a lipoma, and discovered his love of life. He's a happy, playful, sweet, loving boy.

We don't know much about his vet visits prior to him coming to us, but we believe they were minimal if at all. He has several scars which we know nothing about and had the cyst on his belly that vets told us is a lipoma and not cancerous or concerning in that nature. We have looked into removing and and had planned on saving money to do so this Spring.

He is special because of his resiliency. He had it rough before but it doesn't drag him down now. He isn't aggressive at all. He's the most happy loving boy. He wasn't socialized before we had him and we are working on that with him and other dogs. He isn't aggressive to them but has no concept of personal space and/or boundaries which can cause the other dog to get nippy.

As a result of a fight he got into with 3 other dogs, he has a bite puncture wound in his ear with an ear infection and his cyst was bit and is now open and exposed. The cyst needs to be removed ASAP now.
