Kaya is a 5 year old Mix-Breed in Brookwood, AL, who needs $1,000 for Draining Fluid from Her Lungs, Overnight Stays, Etc.

Kaya has been a part of my life since 2019 when I rescued her as a kitten. She was extremely ill and weak and I nursed her back to health. Since then, we have continued to save each other in many aspects. She has been there for me through the extreme highs and lows of the last 6 years of my life and has remained my constant sense of comfort. She has since become my loving support animal.

I noticed within the last 48 hours, Kaya was not acting like herself. She had become extremely lethargic, not social and moving around like normal, decreased appetite and several other symptoms. When symptoms worsened I immediately took her to Hueytown Vet where she still currently is. They are running several tests on her and as of right now we do not have an answer as to what’s going on.

Kaya had been my support animal for over 5 years now. She has remained a constant in my hectic life and has always been a means of comfort. She gets along great with everyone she meets, cats, dogs, you name it. She hold a huge place in my heart as my first pet and I want to help her as much as she has helped me over the years.

After being a student the last 4 years and recently graduating, I do not currently have a set income let alone an emergency fund for an unexpected emergency like this. I want to do everything in my power to give her the best care she can receive and be there every step.
