Kaya is a 4 year old Maine Coon in Ocean city , WA, who needs $5,000 for TPLO Surgery.

Kaya was fated to be mine. I had gone to the shelter specifically to adopt a black kitten. But when i got there, another woman was there for the same kitten. So i backed off and decided to adopt another so two kittys could go home that day. And he is the first option they showed me. Love at first sight. Hes my gentle giant. My cuddle bunny. And now hes hurt.

It was a freak occurrence. He fell off a the top of a closed kitchen trashcan no more than 2-3 ft off of the ground a week ago and in the process tore his ACL in his rear right leg. He is currently being treated at BluePearl pet hospital in Olympia, WA. It will not heal on its own. He needs a TPLO surgery so he can walk again.

Kaya is the sweetest kitty. His best friend Batman, is distraught and hasnt left his friends side since this happened. Kaya is the first one to cuddle and has a reverberating purr that immediately puts one at ease. His favorite thing? To hide and pounce. He has the softest tufts of fur on his feet and loves belly rubs. Every night he curls up next to my head and then steals my pillow.

I am a disabled veteran on a fixed income. I do not have the cost of the surgery. I have some but its not enough. Without this surgery he will not regain the use of the leg and it will always pain him. Please dont leave my fur baby like this
