Keanu came into our lives three years ago with his four other siblings, who we also still have as well as his mom Clover. We took her in as a pregnant cat and then I got to watch him being born and I’ve been with him every day since. My nephew, Maddoc, came up with his name and it has suited him well.

Right now I’m sitting in the Blue Pearl emergency room writing this. Over the past week we have spent over $2000 trying to get him stabilized. Keanu has a 100% urinary blockage that will ultimately need to be surgically remedied with a perineal urethrostomy in order to finish living out what should be a very long life with the rest of his siblings.

Keanu is the sweetest boy. Running my fingers through his hair brings me a calm that is unmatched. He’s never been very loud but he’s always had a very specific and sweet little meow. He loves running around chasing his sister and cuddling with his brothers and watching all the birds and squirrels outside all of the windows every morning. He is truly one of the most beautiful cats I’ve ever seen.

My husband and I both work two jobs just to make it through and have enough to take care of all of our other animals as well. We have rescued a total of 15 cats and have strived to provide a loving and safe home for them all. It would mean the world to have him with me again
