Kelly and I met when I was visiting a friend and her pups prior to pet sitting them. Elizabeth told me she was fostering a dog but I would not be pet sitting him! I spent about 2 hours with all 3 dogs and fell in love with her foster dog who was just learning to figure out how to walk after he had his left front leg amputated and survived Heartworm disease as well. He was rescued from a man from the south who admitted he had shot the dog with the intent to kill but missed and shot his leg, which ultimately could not be saved. He had a name at the time he never responded to but since he has red hair and freckles and I'm Irish how. Could I name him anything other than Kelly! The first time his foster Mom called him by the name I chose, his ears perked up and he responded immediately! I applied to adopt Kelly thT day and he arrived a week later.
