When I was pregnant with my 1st child I bought an American Bulldog for the first time for her to grow up with a best friend. His name was Koda and he was the best dog I ever had. Sadly he passed 10 years later and I was determined to get another to fill his paw prints. The weekend before Christmas 2025 I found Kenai who looks very similar and it was love at first sight. I cried I was so happy.

The week we brought Kenai home he cried and whined more than I had heard a puppy do before. We thought missing his litter or growing pains. He got worse to where he was limping and swaying in back end, got xrays at allen veto find infection in spine, kept crying in pain took to Kstate with hip dysplasia, congenital abnormality and to bring back again to see if it gets worse. Its gotten way worse.

Kenai is very special. He is the sweetest boy. I need him in our family longer than 3 months especially my youngest that is 2 is very attached to him. He gives him kisses all the time and calls him Bluey. Our other dog Duke has taken to him so well and loves him too. I can't imagine coming home and not seeing his happy face and wagging tail. He gives the best cuddles.

Times are hard for everyone right now and it would mean the world to me to be able to save my baby. My kids are my top priority but I love my animals just like my kids. He didnt deserve to be born with this. I cant imagine telling my kids a different outcome :(
