About this campaign
We got Kevin as a gift for my youngest daughter‘s 10th birthday. She had been asking for a dog for several years so we decided to get her one. She had always said she wanted a golden retriever. So we found a cute one and brought him home. She named him Kevin after a meme she saw on the Internet. But she calls him poopy because everything gives him diarrhea.
Kevin has lots of energy. He likes to do anything that involves running around at top speed. His two favorite things to do are to play fetch at the dog park and play tag with our cat Mr Dean . Even though he is almost 70 pounds he is still afraid of bigger dogs. When we go to the dog park he prefers to play with the little dogs because I think he thinks he’s a little dog.
Kevin loves the normal dog things like chasing birds and he loves sticks. But he also loves my computer bag and will get very excited and jump on top of it repeatedly as if trying to get it to play with him. He also likes the broom and he’s very afraid of the vacuum cleaner and the mop. And if your drop his leash he will freeze and be afraid to move
When we went to his first vet appointment the veterinarian said he had a pretty significant heart murmur. It was a four out of a possible five which is pretty bad. They suggested we wait a little bit which we did but it never went away. The cardiologist said he had PAD which stands for patent ductus arteriosus, essentially a hole in his heart
The vet said we only have a little bit of time to get him fixed before permanent severe heart damage occurs. My daughter will be devastated if that happens so i am doing everything that i can for him
