Kevin was a stray at the Cheyenne, WY animal shelter.
When we met, he was underweight and had sores all over due to undiagnosed allergies. Completely ignoring me, he decided to sit in a chair across the room, like a person. After a short while, he started following me around, all the way to the front desk to fill out adoption papers. Since then, we've been best friends of 7 years in Laramie, WY.

Kevin has a very large hepatocarcinoma on his liver, pressing on the rest of his organs, as well as some smaller tumors on his lip and hip.

He's been getting diagnostic testing from the Flint Animal Cancer Center at CSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Dr. Hildebrandt discovered that the tumors are very operable, and that he could have years left after removal.

Kevin is the most gentle, handsome, and smart dog ever.

Listening when you speak, he tilts his head to pick up any words that he knows.

Kevin loves meeting people, is super friendly to other dogs, and loves to chase rabbits (oftentimes jumping a fence to do so). He's even known to hop into strangers' cars.

He loves jerky and coming to work, hates thunder, and is always down for a walk!

Kevin has so much life to him, and I owe him everything to keep him happy and healthy. I don't have much. I have a job, a car, and I rent. Kevin has been by my side through every job change, new apartment, and when we were homeless, living out of my car. Anything could help.
