About this campaign

My wife and I adopted Khali from Texas when he was six months old. We had two other dogs at the time, which became his friends/brother and sister. Khali is extremely kind and gentle with everyone he meets. He loves humans and other dogs. I think that he thinks he’s human because whenever he hears people talking outside, he insists on meeting them. When he does meet them, he is all cuddles.

Khali likes to sleep a lot, but he’s very sensitive to sound and people talking outside the house. He lives with me, my wife, and my wife’s older uncle. He gets walked three times a day. He has a hypoallergenic meal plan that he eats three times a day because his pancreas struggles to process normal dog food. He’s a sweet guy, but sometimes a little territorial on his bed. He’s a sweet doggie.

He does the Zoomies every time he comes back from a walk or after he has eaten. He loves to cuddle, and when he does, he always cuddles in the fetal position so that he’s facing you, but rolled up in a little ball so that you can hold him from head to toe. When he meets children, he crawl to meet them so that he’s below their eye level, making them feel very comfortable to meet him.

Khali was born without enamel on his teeth. even though we brush his teeth quite often, he gets gingivitis and other diseases related to his teeth that require expensive procedures to clean, bond, and seal his teeth.
I’ve done this procedure at Animal Medical Center of Seattle once before and am getting ready to do that procedure again here at Berkeley Animal Hospital.

I am on a fixed income that barely is enough to cover our bills. We live in a house of three adults and two large dogs. Despite having dog insurance, this procedure is not covered.
