About this campaign

Khloe is a gentle, seven-year-old pit mix whose world was quickly slipping away. When her owner reached out for help, Khloe had already been sick for a week. She couldn’t eat, had lost 5–10 pounds, and was bleeding heavily. By the time we rushed her into the hospital, her bloodwork was terrifying: her white blood cell count—normally a sign of infection—was 8 to 20 times higher than it should have been, and her kidney values were off the charts.

The diagnosis: pyometra, a deadly uterine infection requiring immediate surgery. The prognosis: the vet didn’t think she would survive the operation.

Before they could even attempt surgery, Khloe spent hours on IV fluids and strong antibiotics—giving her the tiniest fighting chance.

When they got the call that she survived her emergency surgery, we cried with relief. But only a few hours later, the nightmare wasn’t over. Khloe suddenly took a turn for the worse.

She became pale and yellow, refused food, and her blood levels showed life-threatening anemia. An ultrasound revealed fluid in her abdomen.

She needed a blood transfusion and a second emergency surgery—all within the same day.

Khloe has beaten the odds again. She has finally been discharged home, resting and healing. She will return in two weeks for suture removal and repeat bloodwork to monitor her kidneys and anemia. But her fight has come with a cost. Her current total is $2,300, and they still need to cover her upcoming bloodwork in two weeks.

Every dollar, every prayer, every share truly matters. No donation is too small. Khloe’s life was nearly taken from her—twice—and she is only here today because people like you chose to stand beside her.

Please help us give Khloe the full recovery she deserves.

2/19/26 UPDATE

We are so excited to share an incredible update about Khloe!

Khloe recently went back to the vet for repeat blood work, and we received the best possible news — her kidneys are improving, and her blood levels are holding steady following her transfusion. This is exactly what we were hoping for!

Since then, Khloe has made a complete recovery. She’s back to being herself, and her owner is beyond grateful to still have his beloved girl by his side.

Her story is a powerful reminder of what compassion and community can do.

From the bottom of our hearts — thank you for giving Khloe a second chance.

3/29/26 Update

Khloe has completely recovered, and been medically cleared by the veterinarian. She is back to her happy, playful self without a care in the world. We are thankful for the donations she received for her emergency surgery, and thankful she is now spayed and will never endure this again. Thank you for being Khloe's hero!
