About this campaign
We had just gotten Khumbakarna two weeks ago from a lady that had seemed overwhelmed by the amount of cats she had. We also took his bonded friend with. He was part of a feral cat trap and neuter I believe from his ear clip. He is beyond feral in my opinion. He is now living it up in a three bedroom apartment with us.
Khumbakarna had an easy week here with free range of the house. He loves his scratches behind the ear and will allow belly rubs but pushes your hand away when he’s done. It almost seems like he is a very consent based cat. He laps up attention with anyone who will give him time. The hard part is we were told he has had interaction with dogs and he truly doesn’t. Our bulldog is very in your face .
Because of this pandemic and my compromised immune system I have not been able to work. I am currently living on unemployment (which I have yet to get) and waiting for my disability approval. With only rent in savings I cannot afford this surgery and rent too.
Khumbakarna as mentioned before was supposed to have had interaction with dogs. We waited for a few days before a face to face no gate barrier interaction. Because our dog is used to his previous cat friends (my daughters) we thought that it would be ok, sadly Khumbakarna lunged at the bulldog (Titan) and somewhere in that scuffle his femoral head was broken. We brought him into NR Vet clinic.
His favorite friend is his precious house mate Daji. They cuddle together often and love their blankets as well as my sweatshirt for cuddling with. He does play sometimes with the little mouse with bells in it but he’s just more happy laying in the sun on the top of the cat tree. His immediate trust of us has made it so that we want him to have the best possible life.
