A Cold Road, A Warm Heart: Help Kia’s Transformation

A kind soul reached out to ThisIsHouston about a little girl in need—Kia, a sweet, young pup who had been wandering alone and sleeping on a county road. With the freezing weather just around the corner, she had no time to lose. Despite her situation, no one in the neighborhood was claiming her. She was vulnerable, cold, and in desperate need of help.

Thankfully, ThisIsHouston had an open foster home ready and waiting, so they swooped in to save Kia from the harsh conditions. She’s now in their care, safe and warm, and they're giving her the love she deserves as she recovers from her rough start. She's estimated to be around 6-9 months old, and although she’s still decompressing, it's already clear she’s a total sweetheart.

She’s resting and adjusting to her new environment, but ThisIsHouston is committed to getting her to the vet for a full check-up soon. After that, they'll be working hard to find Kia her perfect forever home, where she can finally experience the love and stability she’s been missing.
