i adopted Kiba when he was 4 months old from a cruel man selling puppies on craigslist, While we were talking about the pups, the tiny runt of the litter wobbled over and was nibbling on the end of his shoelace so he kicked him down the stairs right in front of me, while carrying on in the conversation as if i hadn't seen what he did. In that moment i knew i couldn't leave him with this man.

Kiba developed 3 ocular diseases during his 7yrs of life: Pannus, Progressive Retinal Atrophy, and most recently Glaucoma, which has proven to be resistant to medication. Due to increasing pressure in his eyes (left: 25-26mmHg /right: 63mmHg) Dr. Lori Hill @ Shelton Veterinary clinic - Interlachen advised an enucleation surgery of his right eye was necessary.

Kiba isn't just a dog. He's my family. He carried me through the unimaginable loss after my dad took his own life. He gave me a reason to get out of bed each day and never let me feel alone.
