Kiegi is a 14-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix. I adopted her from a rescue organization (her and her mom were surrendered) at 9 weeks. On June 19th her sister, Kai passed away from Insulinoma Now its just Kiegi and baby Kree (5yo Yorkie/Terrier Mix). Kree has been very sad since Kai passed away and has developed a new, strong relationship with Kiegi.

The 3 K's (Kai, Kiegi, and Kree) were my only furbabies. Now we're just Kiegi and Kree. Kiegi loves watching her favorite tv commercial (to bark at the dog), going to the dog park daily as well as walking and exploring at off-leash trails on the weekends. When there's snow on the ground, she loves rolling in it. Still, she is very sweet, playful, opinionated and “mouthy” around her fur-friends.

I was unemployed since March and spent a good bit of my savings trying to save Kai who died in June. Since then we've been using the last of my savings on basic living expenses.

In July I noticed that Kiegi was coughing & panting excessively. On 7/21 the vet saidshe likely had a serious heart issue. The vet scheduled multiple tests to be run on her by the mobile cardiologist in August. After an ER visit in August Kiegi has been diagnosed with a third-degree atrioventricular block and bradycardia. She needs a pacemaker as soon as possible.

I have had Kiegi for almost all of her life & almost all of my entire adult life. She's my first real purchase and I've taken care of her as if she's my firstborn child. She barks at me when to wake up when it's time to eat & when it's time to go outside for a walk. She is known as the "park gossip" because she barks the entire time she is at the park. She also loves to bark while watching her tv.
