About this campaign

I adopted Kiki when she was 1 year old she is now three. She loves to cuddle, is calm yet playful at times. Kiki brings so much light into our lives and everyone she meets. She instantly goes up to new people, loves to explore and is full of life. She has changed my life and other individuals lives through her loving personality and she never fails to make me laugh.

Kiki recently began struggling to breathe and acting lethargic, so we took her to a vet, who found fluid in her chest reducing her lung capacity to 30–40%. After meds didn’t help, we went to UF Small Animal Hospital, where she had surgery to remove 8 oz of fluid. She now needs further treatment, including another surgery to seal a leaking thoracic duct caused by Chylothorax disease.

Kiki never fails to make us feel loved, happy and lucky to have her in our lives. It is time we return the blessing it is to have her in our lives. She is the light of our lives and loves to interact with everyone (yes even new people). She instantly rubs her head on the back of anyone who visits home instantly looking for cuddles and rubs.

I am in a fixed financial situation I live with roommates and am a student. Kiki is my emotional support animal. I suffer from ADHD, severe anxiety and have Autism she greatly helps to calm me down. It would mean the world to receive some help with this emergency situation.
