Kila came into my life five and a half years ago. Her owner had passed away and Kila was in danger of being euthanized. I truly believe we rescued each other. . She and I currently live together in a nice and quiet apartment complex. I am on disability and we have been home together nearly 24/7 over the last four and a half years. She is an indoor only cat and there are no other animals here.

Kila was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. She will need to be on medication for the rest of her life. She'll also require frequent blood work and vet visits to check her thyroid and kidney levels. She is a patient of Dr. Gray's at Franklin Veterinary in Franklin Massachusetts. Otherwise, she is in good health for a senior cat.

Kila came to me not trusting any human at all. It is highly suspected that she was a victim of animal abuse. It took her almost a year to trust me, but today I am her person. Any time someone comes over, she will come right out, knowing they will give her treats. She is my emotional support animal/cat and has helped me through some of my darkest days. She has so much love to give in her heart.

I have been on disability for years and do not see that changing in the near future. I love Kila so much, she has truly saved my life. I need Kila to have her medication and be able to go to all of her vet visits to keep her here and well with me.
