Kira is a 7-year-old Rottweiler Mix in Sonora, KY, who needs $2,000 for chemotherapy treatment.

Kira was born from an abandoned pregnant dog that we rescued and named Daisy. We found homes for most of the litter and we kept Daisy. While in the process of finding homes for the puppies, Kira stole our hearts and so we have raised her from a puppy! She is 7 and a half years old now! She is literally the center of our family and we can not imagine our lives without her peeka-boo-ing with us.

Kira greets everyone as they wake up. She follows you to the door and meets you there when you get home! If you are crying, she cuddles you and cleans your tears away with her kisses. She sleeps in the living room most of the time, as she has claimed the couch as hers, lol. She has a special game that she plays mainly with my husband. They play peek-a-boo. I'll explain...

We noticed swollen lymph nodes in her neck. Tests were ran, and the devastating news of lymphoma came back! She has started a 26 week chemotherapy treatment plan with Blue Pearl Veterinary in Louisville Kentucky. Her doctor is Dr Cummings. The number is 502-244-3036. She has to ride an hour and a half one way for treatment.

Kira has fallen in love with peek-a-boo. My husband runs around the kitchen island, hides and yells, I say peeka, you say.... and then Kira answers back Woooooooooooooo and proceeds to chase him around the house! She also scratches and kicks the grass everywhere she goes... we call it her burn-out! There's a video of that!
